Pantone, the go-to authority of all things color, has announced which hues will be dominating Spring 2017. There is no doubt these colors will be popping up all over the bridal world ruling the trends. From bridesmaids dresses to centerpieces, registries to cakes, these hues can be used in a wide variety of wedding details.
The top 10 colors are: Primrose Yellow, Pale Dogwood, Hazelnut, Island Paradise, Greenery, Flame, Pink Yarrow, Niagara, Kale, and Lapis Blue.
"One of the things that we saw this year, was a renewed sense of imagination in which color was appearing in context that was different than the traditional," said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. "Reminiscent of the hues that surround us in nature, our Spring 2017 Fashion Color Report evokes a spectrum of emotion and feeling. From the warmth of sunny days with PANTONE 13-0755 Primrose Yellow to the invigorating feeling of breathing fresh mountain air with PANTONE 18-0107 Kale and the desire to escape to pristine waters with PANTONE 14-4620 Island Paradise, designers applied color in playful, yet thoughtful and precise combinations to fully capture the promises, hope and transformation that we yearn for each Spring."
Let's take a moment to focus on one of the top ten colors that is going to ROCK Spring weddings all through 2017... GREENERY!
This color absolutely POPS against a wedding dress! And not to mention, an all or mostly greenery bridal bouquet is great on the budget. Greenery personally is my go to. Like, it truly has a place in my heart. I try and suggest it to all of my brides to use it in some way or another. I find it just so elegant. While I feel like greenery steps up your whole wedding game, it also creates an intimacy that so many couples want in their wedding.
I'm going to go ahead and say "Greenery" is going to stand the test of time and continue through Summer, Fall, and Winter 2017! It is here to stay!
